The Next Gen D6 — more machine than the D6T it replaced: Caterpillar renamed the legendary D6T to D6, and the current-generation machine is a genuine step up — more weight and horsepower than the D6T with an improved frame design that gives a balanced ride with no additional counterweights. The Cat C9.3B engine eliminates the EGR system for greater reliability, with a single engine ECM and a redesigned fuel system for more accurate fuel delivery. Differential steering maintains full power to both tracks for best-in-class turning with a loaded blade.
